How does it feel to embody Dorian, an immortal model of beauty and charm?

“I didn’t think much about the physical beauty of the character but about the literary myth of “The Picture of Dorian Gray” that I read when I was a boy.”

In the film there is even more blood, horror and explicit sex than in the book.

“That’s true. The book alluded rather than describe, but it was terrifying. Even if only suggesting, it shocked. Or at least, it shocked me. In 2009, it is more difficult to strike the imagination of the audience, to do that you have to be more explicit.”
