From Dark Horizon:
.When a strikingly beautiful but naοve young Dorian (Ben Barnes) arrives in Victorian London he is swept into a social whirlwind by the charismatic Henry Wotton (Colin Firth), who introduces Dorian to the hedonistic pleasures of the city. Henry's friend, society artist Basil Hallward (Ben Chaplin) paints a portrait of Dorian to capture the full power of his youthful beauty and when it's unveiled Dorian makes a flippant pledge: he would give anything to stay as he is in the picture - even his soul.
Dorian's wild adventures continue, but soon he notices that his portrait, which is now locked away in the attic, has taken on an evil and disturbing air, while his own beautiful face goes unmarked by his deeds. Forced by his own evil actions to flee the country, Dorian returns twenty-five years later. To the surprise of his old friends, he looks exactly the same but he's jaded, having found pleasure but never happiness and he's haunted by the monstrous painting in the attic. His fear and paranoia grow as rumours of his past misdeeds circulate. Will Dorian get one last chance for love and redemption and more importantly, will he escape with his life?
Easy Virtue in Toront Film Festival
From Variety: The Toronto Film Festival has added 20 titles to its special presentations lineup. The 33rd edition of the fest runs Sept. 4-13 and guess who's on that list? Colin Firth, Jessica Biel, Kristin Scott Thomas and Ben Barnes star in an adaptation by Stephan Elliott of Noel Coward’s wickedly witty play. During the roaring 20s, a young Englishman (John Whittaker) falls madly in love with a sexy and glamorous American woman Larita. They marry impetuously. When they return to John’s family home, his mother Mrs. Whittaker has an instant allergic reaction to her new daughter-in-law. Larita trieds her best to fit in but fails to tiptoe through the minefield laid by her mother-in-law. She sees she must fight back, and finds an unlikely ally in John’s father.
I added a few LQ pictures from Easy Virtue in the gallery and there is an article about the movie here on Chancery PartnerShip.

From Jacagab:
Ben joined Most Wanted UK in mid-October 1999 with Matt, Aaron, Marcus & Steven. We only got to see him perform once, which was at the Capital Cafe on October 30th. After leaving the band in December 99, he became one of the presenters of S Club TV. This was a Sunday morning programme where seven young presenters let the viewers know about everything that was going on around them. Bens main area was pop, and he also sang the shows theme tune along with one of the girls. Unfortunately only one series was made, which finished in November 2000.
